JENNIFER HILL
Baring her soul for all...
Jennifer Hill grew up belting out her favorite songs by the stereo all night long. Her first full song being Bobby McGee at the age of 3 (and she could sing it!)
Mixed in were the soulful influences by her Mom (Carol King, Phoebe Snow, Gladys Night, Janis Joplin, Joni Mitchell. In fact, listening to Joni taught Jennifer how to sing in head voice at a very young age) and growing up during the 90s era of music driven riot grrl power.
Her music combines trenchant, emotionally engaging lyrics with a sound grounded in influences ranging from Carol King and Wanda Jackson to Joni Mitchell and Janis Ian to Bjork and Pink Floyd.
Her musical point of view is informed by, and supports, her activism for women in the arts and domestic violence survivors.
Baring her soul for all to see, she can make you swoon with a single note and puncture your heart you with her lyrics.
Her upcoming album (soon to be released) brings her back to her roots of Indie soul mixed with powerhouse vocals.
She is also known as the electro pop act Murderous Chanteuse and Indie rock band Jennifer Hill and Co. both found on all streaming services.

"MADE OF CANDY"MUSIC VIDEO
Murderous Chanteuse
This is Jennifer Hill's first cinematic music video. Shot by Ryan Sweeney and produced by David Gere, the film has the air of a mini film more than a music video. The story line contains a lineup of female superheroes saving other women from abuse. It is Jennifer Hill's taking back the night. She is a domestic violence survivor, gun violence survivor and lives with C-PTSD. Her mission with this video is to spread awareness and to let victims of abuse know they aren't alone.
The cast includes many of the women of her internationally acclaimed event "SWAN DAY CT" as well as many supporters who have been there through many years of her career. Kris Costa, a must see designer, outfitted the cast in her original designs and engineer Dan
Surkis made all the penis shaped nerf
weapons.

Love, hate, debauchery, glitter, and mayhem.
